The nice and perfect location was metres from Ancfcc. The room was well-equipped with minibar included, a balcony, the fridge, loved it. Everything met requirements, I would love to come back here some time...

Rooms, staff and location were great. Only the meals were a little monotonous. Especially at breakfast I would have wished for more variety.

The Belere hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station so its location is ideal for visitors who are arriving and departing by train. This means that it was also within easy walking distance of most of the places we wanted to visit in Rabat. There was a large bowl of fresh fruit in our room to greet us - an unexpected treat which was much appreciated! Free WiFi was available throughout the hotel with a good strong signal, however, at weekends, the connection to the internet seems to get blocked by the authorities so it was very intermittent (we found this elsewhere in Morocco as well - on Sundays in particular). Perhaps this was because there were very peaceful political demonstrations being held elsewhere in the city and we were told that the demonstrators usually used the internet to communicate with each other so blocking it was a way of disrupting their communications. We have no idea whether this is true or not but it was very annoying for ordinary users like ourselves.
Disrupted internet connection but I don't think it was the fault of the hotel. It would have been nice to have been given a large bottle of water in our room or at least had cold water for sale at close to shop prices in the lobby. A hotel we stayed at in Meknes had a fridge with a good selection of water and other soft drinks in its lobby at C.20% above shop prices and this was greatly appreciated. Temperatures were 40+ celcius while we were visiting Morocco..

It is hard to be nice about this hotel. But it does have a very convenient location 1.5 blocks from the Rabat railway station (and all sights are within walking distance). Also the hotel manager was extremely nice and professional. I think in his manner he tries his absolute best to make up for what is a hotel that requires a lot of investment to bring it up to its supposed 4 star standard. Fluent in 7 languages, he let us use the reception's computer to book our airline tickets when the WiFi wasn't working. 5 stars for him.
This was the worst hotel we stayed in of the 15 hotels we stayed in during 6 weeks of travelling in Spain and Morocco. And it was the only (supposed) 4 star hotel we stayed in (the others were 2 or 3 stars). Expensive, yet carpet that hasn't been cleaned since the 1970s, rubbish under the beds, black water from the taps, no hot water one day, WiFi out of service one day, and cockroaches in the stale bread on the breakfast buffet. Shockingly bad value for money. Surprisingly, the Lonely Planet rates this the best option in Rabat below 5 stars. Makes you wonder what the others are like!!!

Very loud room due to the lounge having a singer in it until 4am on weeknights. This was not mentioned to us on check-in and was not apologized for upon leaving.
